Frequently Asked Questions

What do we do?

Providing services to ANY individual or family who are actively experiencing homelessness in Harnett county and the surrounding counties. Our organization is also working hard to open a true, 100% low-barrier emergency shelter located in Harnett county!

What primary services do we offer?

Outreach services such as: connecting those in homelessness to resources & programs, providing food & basic need items, locating/connecting/securing temporary emergency shelter for the most vulnerable, case management, support services, & outreaching encampments of the unsheltered.

What is considered homeless?

Our organization follows the HUD definition of "homeless", which means that LAST night a person slept in a place that was not meant for human habitation (a car, outdoors, an abandoned building, a tent, etc.) or in an emergency shelter.

How do we receive funding?

At this time, we rely solely on private donations and supporters. All of our finances are on an "open door policy".

Are there any requirements or qualifications to receive our help?

Just ONE! Meet the HUD definition of homeless. We turn no one away due to lack of information or credentials, income, or criminal background.

What is our mission?

There is a huge gap in shelter availability, transparent resources, kindness, humanity, and grace for those in homelessness. Our purpose is to fill in those gaps, with the shelter build being our top priority! There is no room for judgment in this work. Every single person is worthy of the good and the bad in their lives. That means we will work equally as hard as they do, to return their lives to good, and in turn build our community as a whole back up!
